London-based Red Light Company tried their best to energise the crowd last night during a headline set at Academy 2.
The band showed off their infectious art-rock tunes including Scheme Eugene and Arts and Crafts with complete enthusiasm, but there was no getting away from the sparsely filled venue.
The five-piece’s fans still lapped up the catchy hooks and heart felt lyrics, with single Meccano prompting a huge reception.

Metronomy failed to disappoint last night at Alma de Cuba, with their original brand of electro pop.
Favourites like A Thing For Me and Heartbreaker gained a rapturous reception, while Radio Ladio prompted a word perfect sing-along from the crowd.
The gig was a success for the band’s “new format”, which now includes drummer Anna Prior and new bassist Gbenga Adelekan.
And as always, Oscar Cash‘s saxophone proved ever popular.
