One not to miss this – and here’s your chance to enjoy it for free.

Though not strictly an album, the Beta Band‘s first long-player The 3 EPs is up there with the finest ever debuts by a British band.
Last month their former frontman Steve Mason returned with a record, Boy’s Outside, to rival some of their finest work.
On Monday, he brings his brand of warped psychedelic downbeat disco to Static Gallery. It’s one not to miss and Getintothis has two guest list passes for two readers that adds getintothis on Twitter mentioning their favourite Beta Band song.

In the meantime here’s a cut from Boys Outside called Lost & Found and the details from our friends at Harvest Sun Promotions

Steve Mason:
‘Just be yourself,’ may be a cliche but Steve Mason‘s decision to ditch his musical aliases – King Biscuit Time and Black Affair – could be the making of him.
Marrying tracks composed on acoustic guitar with production from electropop maestro Richard X, Boys Outside is a stripped-back exploration of Mason’s depression and romantic disappointment which teems with joy and catchy choruses.
With echoes of early Beta Band material, this poignant album finds Mason finally living up to his early promise.

The Sixteen Tonnes:
The porch stomping, soul stirring, hip shaking, infectious rock & roll fever of The Sixteen Tonnes arrives in Liverpool having embraced invitations from Oasis and The Zutons.
