Thousands of Liverpool and Everton fans will be making the trip to Wembley in a matter of hours, take a listen to Getintothis‘ suggested playlist to get you in the mood for Saturday’s FA Cup semi final.

LIVERPOOL FC and Everton FC fans will be set for an early yet exciting start to Saturday morning as they make their way to Wembley for the FA Cup semi-final.
With most Blues and Reds supporters gearing up for the big day with a 4am rise, it’ll take an early blast of some top drawer tunes to kick start the day.
Here’s Getintothis suggested music playlist to ramp up the excitement. If you’re thinking of catching up on some sleep – think again.
1. Bang On!Got It
Let’s kick off with a homegrown talent of the highest order. New kid on the block Elliot Egerton aka Bang On! is the hottest new signing to uber-hip label Big Dada. Tuebrook-born Egerton mixes funny with fury and this banger from his forthcoming album [sic] has the crossover potential of Dizzee Rascal. Oh, and let’s not forget he’s one of the 12 nominees in the ‘Scouse Mercury’ – the GIT Award.

2. The Chemical BrothersGalvanise
A beast of a tune from a UK dance institution – the Chemical Brothers. Ed and Tom have been dropping these kind of beats for over 20 years and few do it better. They’re heading up another Liverpool institution this summer – Creamfields when they play the Annie Mac Presents stage on Saturday August 25 alongside Major Lazer and Erol Alkan. This one should keep you rolling as you hit the M62.

3. Brian Jonestown MassacreSuper-Sonic
One for the muso’s this – San Fran’s Brian Jonestown Massacre are the maverick rock and roll lunatics led by Anton Newcombe immortalised in Dig! – probably the finest music documentary ever.
Super-Sonic perfectly encapulates their warped, druggy, psychedelia – both a tribute to the past and a glorious stride into the future. Newcombe is a regular day-tripper in Liverpool due to his passion for The Beatles, the Bunnymen and Mersey music – and the scrapes that he got into are the stuff of legend. A true rock and roller in every sense.

4. The ClashLondon Calling
Pretty self-explanatory this. Let’s hope the sun has made an appearance as we hit the M6. All together now, ‘I live by the RIVVVVVERRRRR! Owww-wwwwow!

5. NWA100 Miles & Running
Another classic from Compton’s original bad boys, NWA. Sick Dre beats collide with MC Ren‘s distinctive flow and cheeky nods to Funkadelic‘s Get Off Your Ass and Jam and cult classic film The Warriors. If this doesn’t get you shaking in your seats then nothing will.

6. The FarmGroovy Train
We’re over halfway there now – and it’s time for a good singalong. Crack open a few cans, wind the windows down, and crank up this stupidly loud. There’s always one whopper in the backseat that can do the falsetto bit.
On a side note, The Farm boys – together with a cast of other legends – have done much to ram home the Justice message for those that died at Hillsborough – take a moment out to remember those that would have loved to have been at Wembley on Saturday.

7. OasisBring It On Down
In terms of visceral white-noise, this was Oasis at their barnstorming best. And Noel Gallagher can say what he likes of Tony McCarroll‘s efforts behind the kit but when those toms introduce this track you can help but be swept along in four-minutes of primal, white-knuckle energy. Probably best to stop off at Toddington for a ‘rest break’ at this point.

8. Jay-ZThe Takeover
Say what you like about this being the friendly derby – when that whistle blows, it’s 1000% war. And Jay-Z‘s Takeover is the ultimate put-down song; five minutes of tongue-in-cheek, hussle-speak laying waste to contemporaries Nas and Mobb Deep’s Prodigy set to the dirty groove of The DoorsFive To One. It’s all in the game, yo.

9. Fang IslandSideswiper
We’re nearly there now, so here’s a new music tip. Brooklyn’s Fang Island ramp everything up to 12 – walls of guitars, euphoric daft singalongs, blockbuster riffs and punch-the-sky climaxes. Imagine music for the biggest party on the planet – Fang Island do just that.

10. The Stone RosesMersey Paradise
Approaching Wembley, and there’s no finer melodic celebratory tune than this Roses classic – and how ironic that it’s written by a bunch of United fans. Revel in this glorious sunny belter – and enjoy the day.
