Sunday Shining star Finlay Quaye to top Africa Oye bill for festival’s 22-year run.


Finley Quaye is to headline Africa Oye this summer at Sefton Park in Liverpool as the festival celebrates 22 years of live music.
The UK’s largest free African music festival attracted around 30,000 people last year with its two-day event.
BRIT winner Quaye is notable for two top 20 singles Sunday Shining and Even After All taken from his debut 1997 album Maverick A Strike.
Other acts include Jupiter & Okwess International, Wara and HAJAmadagascar & The Groovy People.
Africa Oye is on Saturday June 21 and Sunday 22 June 22, from 12.30pm – 9.30pm both days. Admission is free. For details see www.africaoye.com
