Getintothis Jukebox

Another week, another dynamite edition of the Getintothis Jukebox from our main man Gaz Jones with a handpicked pleasure from Moats frontman Matt Duncan.

Welcome one and all to the latest Getintothis Jukebox featuring our mix of new Merseyside music, artists visiting the area and the tracks which have been on permanent rotation over the last week.

Our guest selector is Matt Duncan, the frontman of Moats who has chosen Happyness‘ track When You Wake Up, he said: “It makes me feel all creepy and sends me shivers both musically and vocally. I like it how the snare roll doesn’t help me understand what he says, that keeps me guessing the meaning. So I’ll just relate it to something that’s going on in my life. Which is always nice. It’s effortlessly beautiful, not attention seeking and gorgeous to listen to when you’re with someone whose company you want to enjoy.”

On the local scene the jukebox includes KOF (Feat Terri Walker), Lyra, Bill Ryder-Jones, Dominic Dunn, Amique and the infectious Beach Skulls. Visiting Magnet is Cyril Hahn while we also include Becky Hill who plays Liverpool Library. In addition we preview Jungle Brothers, Lone and James Yorkston ahead of their shows. Elsewhere, we’ve thrown in new ones by Narrow Plains, Wired To Follow, Oceaán, Flying Lotus and Kendrick Lamar’s new hit which we can’t get out of our heads.
