In Atoms

In Atoms follow up a productive 2014 with a fresh track, Getintothis’ Peter Guy finds lazer-guided melodies for the soul.

Emerging through an electrical birthing canal In Atoms are delivering glistening new life to the sonic pool on Merseyside.

Having been circling around these parts from a distant past and following on from the expansive seduction of 2014 EP Wreaths, it’s their new material which is most striking. Take Dimmed Ascendant, a piece which slivers gently along via tubes of electricity; passages of shimmering light leading up to an iridescent release.

Drawing upon found sounds, gurgling electrolysis, Eno-like textures and indiscernible vocal hums it draws you in with a minimal electronic tug.

Tipped in end of year polls and a support slot with Constellations RecordsJerusalem in My Heart under their belts, 2015 is shaping up rather sweetly for an artist who likes to explode – albeit discretely and rather beautifully.
