Reverend and the Makers set for Liverpool Calling

As Liverpool Calling prepares for its third year at the Bombed Out Church, Getintothis’ Adam Lowerson reveals the full line up details.

Liverpool Calling festival has announced its line up for the third edition of the event held at the Bombed Out Church, Maguire’s Pizza Bar and Studio 2 on July 25.

The festival headliners are Reverend and the Makers with a supporting cast including folk singer Beans on Toast, Dexters, and Liverpool’s Silent Sleep.

Also performing on the Bombed Out Church stage are Merseyside alt-rockers the Jackobins, Wirral indie poppers Vynce, Gold Jacks and Michael Bennett.

This year’s festival sees the introduction of two new stages at Maguire’s Pizza Bar and Studio 2, with both hosting full days of emerging bands from across the country. Topping the bill at Maguire’s Pizza Bar are alt-rock outfit Allusondrugs, who will be joined by Welsh rockers Falls, Doppleganger, Emilio Largo and Creeps.

Studio 2 will see performances from The Sherlocks, Low Winter Sun, Obstacles, Michael J Sutton, Secateurs, Joe Symes and the Loving Kind and Sahara Sky.

The festival has seen performances from some notable names over its three years including British Sea Power, the Rifles and mod revivalists Twisted Wheel.

A final wave of acts are set to be announced in the coming months. Tickets are priced at £20 and are available here.
