Eighties sensation Lloyd Cole is back on the gig circuit this Autumn and Getintothis’ Denise Hodgkinson has the details.

Best known for his success with The Commotions back in the eighties, Lloyd Cole has been quietly continuing his solo career which has included a recent collaboration with renowned electronic Krautrocker Hans-Joachim Roedelius.  After the popularity of a select few gigs in 2014 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the debut album Rattlesnakes, Cole has been persuaded to return to performance.

Last year saw the release of Lloyd Cole and the Commotions Collected Recordings 1983-1989, this proved so popular a second box set is now in the works, spanning 1989-1996. The new tour dates will showcase songs from both these collections as well as his solo work from this period.

This is a rare chance to catch a true master of perfect pop who is still at the very top of his game all in the wonderful setting of the Epstein Theatre on October 11.
