As Hannah Lou Clark announces an intimate Merseyside date as part of a UK headline tour, Getintothis’ Luke Chandley looks forward to an exciting future prospect.
Two years after supporting Hooton Tennis Club, alt-rocker Hannah Lou Clark is heading back to Liverpool as part of her upcoming UK tour this November. Formerly known by her stage name Foe, Clark has left behind her previous moniker and sound lately.
Anyone expecting acoustic guitars and folky melodies from this singer-songwriter will be disappointed, as will those expecting her old electroclash sound. Those prepared for Clark‘s echoing, atonal, metallic-sounding new compositions will enjoy her music featuring a full band, as opposed to the solo shows she has been known for until now.
She has played often as a solo singer and musician, but recently announced on her Facebook page that she will be re-tooling her live sound for the upcoming tour, so be sure to expect a loud and full-on live experience.
Kicking the tour off in Edinburgh in late November, she brings her show to Parr Street’s Studio 2 before the month closes, fresh from releasing new music last April in the form of EP It’s Your Love on her own Quatre Femms Records label.
Hannah Lou Clark has been doing the rounds on the festival scene this year, has performed at Boardmasters and Handmade Festival as well as countless others in promotion of her latest release, looking ahead to her debut album.
Hannah Lou Clark plays Studio 2 on Wednesday, November 23, doors 7:30pm.
