Docklands event expands to four days of music, Getintothis’ Craig MacDonald reveals all the acts on the 10th anniversary of the festival.
Liverpool Sound City have revealed The Human League, Metronomy and The Kooks as headliners alongside John Cale for their tenth anniversary event.
Moving to Clarence Docks, organisers have confirmed this year will see the event expand to a four day setting starting on Thursday May 25 through to Sunday May 28.
The opening night will see electro new wave icons The Human League joined by 80’s synth pop pioneers Art of Noise, who will play their In Visible Silence album for the first time in nearly 20 years, with A Certain Ratio completing the first day lineup.
Friday will see John Cale play The Velvet Undergound and Nico classic for its 50th anniversary, with special guests.
Following the release of their fifth album Summer 08, Metronomy head up festivities on Saturday with Peaches, The Kills, The Hunna, Slaves, Carl Barat & The Jackals, Pumarosa, The Japanese House, The Magic Gang, Pale Waves, Touts, Be Charlotte, Judas and Fickle Friends all on the bill. Saturday will also see John Cale return to give an in conversation piece as he explores his remarkable career.
The event closes on Sunday with The Kooks being joined by White Lies, Local Natives, !!! (Chk, Chk, Chk), Milburn, She Drew The Gun, The Vryll Society, Cabbage, The Shimmer Band, April, Zuzu and The Sherlocks for the finale.
