AbiChan will play alongside The Sneaky Nixons, The Isrights and The Floormen in March, Getintothis’ Nathan Scally has the lowdown.
This year Sound City has kicked off their 10 year celebrations a little early by showcasing some of Liverpool’s best new acts.
Following on from the first instalment in the Sound City Emerging Talent live series which featured Red Rum Club and The Wicked Whispers among others, the second event is due to take place at The Magnet.
Headlining the night will be former Zuton, Abi Harding’s new band AbiChan.
Supporting the newly formed band will be The Sneaky Nixons. Fresh from releasing their debut album The Barbie Syndrome via Ocean Waves Records, they’re ready to prove they’re the real deal. A band known for all the wrong reasons now have the tunes to produce a live set worthy of the hype.
The Isrights are not to be taken lightly, the fact they’ve already packed out both O2 Academy and 24 Kitchen Street on their own stands testament to the quality of acts set to play at the end of the month. Their punkadelic reggae is a mix you’re not going to see anywhere else.
Opening the show will be The Floormen, whose infusion of prog, kraut and kaleidoscopic 60’s grooves is steadily building a reputation of its own across the North West.
