As Cotton Clouds festival announce their line up, Getintothis’ Jessica Borden has got more info.

Cotton Clouds Festival comes to Oldham on August 12.

The Manchester based day festival will launch its first year as a festival at Saddleworth Cricket Club spanning three stages with headliners including The Coral who continue their triumphant return with several festival gigs this year and a nomination in the GIT Awards 2017.

Legends of the American Hip Hop scene, The Sugarhill Gang will take to the stage along with Nick Heyward of 80’s band Haircut 100. The festival draws from bands ranging across genres, eras and ages.

The line up continues with great bands from the electronic dance indie The Whip to the incredible female rock stars PINS who follow on from their recent incredible collaboration with none other than Iggy Pop. Cupids and Hello Operator who have both become live favourites around Manchester and will be a welcome addition to this line up with their high energy performances.

The Everly Pregnant Brothers, the beloved electric Ukulele cover tribute band to The Everly Brothers and The Rhythm Method with their style of ‘everyman’ tales will both bring their cult followings to Cotton Clouds.

Getintothis favourites The Sundowners will surely be one of the highlights of the festivalwith the promise of an incredible live show andhot on the heels of the release of their second album Cut The Master

DJ’s will not be amiss at the festival with beloved Howling Rhythm & The Howling Horns bringing a new lease of life to 60’s and Northern Soul. Also on the line up is Manchester legend Clint Boon who, along with Gareth Brooks, will deliver all the best indie rock pop anthems you could need

More acts announced to the line up include The Blinders, The G-O-D, Tear, Yucatan, Ethan and The Reformation, Colour Me Wednesday, Gardenback,Stillia, Nev Cottee, Proletariat and Shadow Palace.
