Kasabian have announced a series of UK and Ireland dates, including Liverpool Echo Arena, and Getintothis’ Lewis Ridley has the lowdown.

Kasabian have announced a UK tour following their release of their latest album ‘For Crying Out Loud’ where they’ll play 12 nights across the UK and Ireland including two nights at London’s O2 Arena and Birmingham’s Barclaycard Arena.

Kasabian will be supported by Slaves on what has been a highly anticipated tour that also features dates in Newcastle, Aberdeen, Dublin, Manchester, Cardiff, Liverpool and Leeds as well as London and Birmingham dates during November and December this year.

They last played at the Echo Arena in 2011, when they were touring their album ‘Velociraptor!

The band were also one of the headliners at Reading and Leeds Festivals alongside Eminem and Muse.

Fans were alarmed when Kasabian had to cancel their gig at Customs House Belfast due to illness. They said that frontman Tom Meighansuddenly went down with severe vomiting and could hardly stand up, let alone sing”. He’s OK now, though and played monster sets at Reading and Leeds earlier in the summer.

Kasabian play Liverpool Echo Arena on December 5

Tickets for their UK and Ireland tour are on sale at 9.30am on August 31.
