Courtney Barnett  announces a string of news, Getintothis’ Billy Strickland has the lowdown on the Australian’s continued rise.


Courtney Barnett has announced the release of her new studio album, Tell Me How You Really Feel and released its lead single alongside UK tour dates in May and June.

Her debut album, Sometimes I Sit and Think sold a whopping 500,000 and gained an impressive number of accolades including a nomination for Best New Artist at the Grammys back in 2016.

It also won the top prizes in her native Australia, the Australian Music Prize and the APRA’s Songwriter of the Year.

There is no doubt as to why Barnett has received the opportunity to release a second album with her current accomplishments. The album will be released on May 18.

The tracklist for Tell Me How You Really Feel is:

How Liverpool is reclaiming the spirit of Record Store Day

City Looks Pretty from the album is released on 12″ vinyl for Record Store Day tomorrow (21 April) as a double A side, along with Sunday Roast, also taken from the forthcoming record.

Barnett has also announced a set of UK festivals and headline shows with tickets already on sale now over on her official website.

The dates and venues are:

June 2 – Glasgow, Barrowlands
June 3 – London, All Points East Festival
