Scottish sensations The Snuts and rising rock n rollers The Zangwills play Liverpool as The Vryll Society drop a new track ahead of their album launch, Getintothis’ Lewis Ridley is all ears.

After catching the eye of many in Liverpool over the last 18 months she is set to release her debut EP, titled Believe, on Friday, August 24.
This is followed by a week celebration, where she’ll play in Chester, London, Manchester, York and Sheffield before coming to Liverpool on Friday, August 31.
From debut single Glasgow onwards, they’ve not looked back and managed to bag a big slot at that city’s premier festival, TRNSMT, last month.
Now they’ll come south to Liverpool as part of their UK tour on Thursday, October 11.
The Zangwills will top the bill at 81 Renshaw on Saturday, September 1.
Support will come from Salvador, Deep Sleep and Reclaim Vienna as Liverpool’s Dig Vinyl record store teams up with Softlad Promotions.
Lake District festival Kendal Calling have been forced to make a last minute lineup change.
Original Saturday night headliners Run DMC have been replaced by Plan B, as the festival apologised for what was said to be a “scheduling issue.”
They festival have also added Gerry Cinnamon to their Thursday night lineup.

Finally, the shortlist for the fifth Welsh Language Album of the Year was revealed last night, with the eventual winner of this year’s award set to be announced on Thursday 9 August.
