Organ Freeman

The most ambitious Deep Cuts event yet sees six of the brightest talents from the North West play Liverpool on November 8.

Ready for some chaos? You best be. Because Organ Freeman are on the agenda.

In what’s perhaps our most ambitious Deep Cuts show yet we’re seriously chuffed to welcome the enigmatic, anarchic and utterly superb Wirral mavericks Organ Freeman.

Like the term ‘genius’ that word is is used far too liberally in this day and age – but the evolving irreverent outfit are the very definition of ‘only in Merseyside‘. They simply couldn’t have existed elsewhere.

If you’re not familiar with them then do some homework.

They’ve pranked everyone from Paul Bake Off Hollywood, Joe Anderson, the Liverpool ECHO, Shellac, every festival imaginable and a lot more besides. All of which would be a bit rubbish if their music wasn’t an all out party of weirdo pop. Quite simply they’re unmissable.

Deep Cuts November 2018 edition

On our biggest bill yet, we also welcome ex-Ninja Tune collective Loka – think prog, out-rock, kraut grooves and a whole lot more besides.

Then there’s a raft of brand new talent: dream-psych outfit The Indica Gallery, Southport melodica-pop head Bobhowla – playing with a full band for the first time, Lara Boundy and her new project Ana Mae – and one ofour favourite new Merseyside based artists, the brilliantly titled Pharoahe Rocher. He makes J Dilla type dusty killer hip hop instrumentals.

Buy tickets to Deep Cuts’ November edition for just £4

All this on Thursday November 8 at our new home of Jacaranda Records Phase One from 7pm til midnight. It’s a seriously hot Deep Cuts take.

If you’ve yet to experience our move to Jac Phase One – here’s some imagery by Getintothis photographers Chris Flack, Warren Millar and Peter Goodbody from our last two outings featuring Hannah and the Wick Effect, Pixey, Deep Condo Records including Royzy Rothschild, Monks, Dotts – and more recently our October edition including Sara Wolff, Pennylands, Oranj Son, Blurred Sun Band and The Bohos.

These two nights were so much fucking fun, and we can’t wait for Thursday November 8 for more of the same. But entirely different. Be with us. It’s gonna be guaranteed swell times all round. Tickets here – they are just £4.
