The Slow Readers Club announce UK tour, Getintothis’ Conor Mooney on their Liverpool Arts Club date.

Manchester guitar rockers The Slow Readers Club have announced a Liverpool date among their extensive 2019 UK tour.

Following their run of sold-out dates in Glasgow, London and Manchester next month, which will see them playing the biggest venues of their career so far, the Manchester band’s Spring tour will give fans a chance to catch them in more intimate venues like Liverpool’s Arts Club.

The band, who are signed to Modern Sky UK, will play Liverpool Arts Club on Friday, March 15, 2019.

Getintothis staff share their personal stories on their favourite albums

Their hectic tour, which will see them play an impressive 32 shows across the country, follows the release of their third album Build a Tower, which reached number 18 in the UK album chart top 20 earlier this year.

A band clearly cementing their position on the circuit, they’ve also been announced for the main stage at nearby Neighbourhood Weekender in Warrington for summer 2019, among other festivals.

The Mancunian four-piece’s return to this end of the M62 will be warmly welcomed after their packed out set at Sound City in May this year.

Clearly enthused at the prospect, frontman, Aaron Starkie said: “Up until this point we’ve all had day jobs to work around, but 2019 is the year we go at it properly. No more messing about.
