One week before the release of I Am Easy To Find, The National have announced a December UK tour, Getintothis’ Simon Kirk relishes what’s in store.
The National have announced a string of UK tour dates for December – which will be their final shows in the country for 2019.
After selling out shows in Manchester and Glasgow for July and August, respectively, The National return for a string of dates in December which include Brighton, Leeds, Cardiff and Nottingham.
Tickets for these shows go on sale Friday May 17, the same day as the release of the band’s new album, I Am Easy To Find.

There will be a limited 4AD pre-sale at 10am Wednesday May 15. For access, you can pre-order I Am Easy To Find or sign up before 10am on Tuesday May 14, via the 4AD Store.
Prior to this, The National devotees can see the Mike Mills produced I Am Easy to Find at Liverpool’s Everyman Cinema on Sunday, May 12, screening at 8pm.

I Am Easy To Find is a 24 minute film starring Alicia Vikander, and, a 68-minute album playback of I Am Easy To Find by The National.
The former is not the video for the latter; the latter is not the soundtrack to the former. The two projects are, as Mills calls them, “Playfully hostile siblings that love to steal from each other.”
