The experimental Americans Yeasayer have finally gifted us with new music, Getintothis’ Megan Walder on a new album and US tour.
The new album from Yeasayer, Erotic Reruns is due out on July 7, it will be the fifth full length release from the Brooklyn band, following on from 2016’s Amen and Goodbye.
But until it drops in a couple of months time, we have three new tracks from the triad of Chris Keating, Ira Wolf Tuton and Anand Wilder, to make the wait for more music from the experimental psych heads just that little bit less vexing.
Let Me Listen In On You, I’ll Kiss You Tonight and Fluttering in the Floodlights step inside the realities of love and lust. With pop infused electric sounds and hearty, weird and honest lyrics, Erotic Reruns is set to be something noteworthy.
A US tour has been announced but unfortunately UK and EU dates are yet to be released. We will have to wait for a repeat of such gigs as their 2009 appearance at Liverpool’s O2 Academy.
In the meantime, pop on Fluttering in the Floodlights, featured last week on Steve Lamacq‘s roundtable, and let your cares fade away.
