Shack and Pale Fountains chief John Head lends his support to new initiative by City Rehearsal Studios.

City Rehearsal Studios is offering bands across Merseyside the chance to win free rehearsal and recording time at their new facilities in Liverpool.
The studios offer bands a unique rehearse, record, take it away service that will hopefully unearth Merseyside’s next big music stars.
The enterprise has been given backing by John Head of Shack and the Pale Fountains. He said: ‘I think it’s a great opportunity for bands to demo songs and use this facility. To have a rehearsal studio where you can instantly record your ideas while song writing is a great idea and I’m sure will benefit new and established bands.
Gareth Bullock of City Rehearsals added: ‘This competition will hopefully give bands the opportunity to develop their musical skills and they’ll have the added bonus of walking away with a recording of their work.
There will be two age groups for the competition – bands aged 14-18 and bands aged 18+. The 14-18 competition is also being supported by Youth Music, the national charity for young peoples’ music making.
To enter and for full rules bands should visit here.
