Field Studies – Rainmaker EP artwork

Art-rockers, Field Studies, are on their way to Liverpool; Getintothis’ Tom Konstantynowicz has details of another one to slot into those busy autumn gig diaries

Nottingham four-piece Field Studies, fresh from grabbing mainstream radio attention and dropping a handful of gorgeous sounding tracks over the past year, embark on a UK tour this autumn, calling at Liverpool’s The Shipping Forecast on October 15.

The art-rock outfit released their second EP Rainmaking in May, which contains the single Listener and the excellent Crook, which can both be streamed below.

Experts in atmospheric layer-building and the deft change of pace – with harmonious vocals intertwined amongst the web of sound, echoing, dare we say, RadioheadField Studies are a band capable of becoming darlings of the critics and winning an army of devoted fans.

With appearances at many of the major UK festivals already under their belts, and backing from the likes of Radio 1‘s Huw Stephens, 6 Music‘s Tom Robinson and Radio X‘s John Kennedy, chances are this could be one of the last chances to see them in such intimate surroundings.

October 8: The Hug and Pint, Glasgow
October 9: Sneaky Pete’s, Edinburgh
October 10: The Cluny, Newcastle
October 14: The Ferret, Preston
