As The Shimmer Band return with new single Sunkick and a massive UK tour to boot, Getintothis’ Jake Marley provides the scoop on their Liverpool date.
Bristol-based newcomers The Shimmer Band may have already set the wheels in motion for a big year with their storming festival sets at the likes of The Great Escape and Isle of Wight Festival this summer, as well as several high profile support slots and the release of BBC 6 Music supported single Freedom.
Now they’re back with spaced-out, mesmeric new single Sunkick, all set to embark on a massive 17-date UK tour this autumn on top of huge performances at both Reading and Leeds Festivals with BBC Introducing.
Getintothis caught The Shimmer Band performing for This Feeling at Y Not Festival last month and were mighty impressed with their huge live sound, this tour is not to be missed lightly.
Said tour stops off at Liverpool’s magnificent Buyers Club for a date with EVOL on Thursday October 13 with support coming from Red Rum Club and Bribes.
