Folk on the Dock comes to Liverpool’s Albert Dock

Liverpool’s Albert Dock hosts a Bank Holiday feast of music, Getintothis has food, drink and a bounty of treasures to be won.

More than 200 musicians will converge on Liverpool’s Albert Dock over August Bank Holiday weekend for Folk on the Dock – a free, three-day music festival.

Fresh from their Glastonbury slot, Brighton-based band Moulettes will headline with a supporting cast including Anglo-Americana trio Wildwood Kin; former Coral guitarist, Lee Southall and Folk Awards nominees Pilgrim’s Way plus singer-songwriter Henry Priestman.

BBC radio presenter Janice Long hosts the festival with other acts playing including Two Ways Home, Pete Riley, Paul Walker and Karen Pfeiffer, Mondegreen, Hayley McKay and Rob Lear.

Wildwood Kin told Getintothis: “We’re looking forward to playing at Folk on the Dock in Liverpool. This will be our first show in the city and we are very excited to share our music with a new audience.

To whet your appetite, we’ve teamed up with organisers offering readers the chance to win lunch at the Albert Dock’s Revolucion De Cuba plus a bundle of CDs from the artists performing at Folk on the Dock and the chance to meet and greet Janice Long.
