Martyn Joseph, Merry Hell, Pilgrims’ Way and more announced for Liverpool Acoustic’s Spring Season

Across three city centre venues, Liverpool Acoustic have announced the lineup for their Spring Season, Getintothis’ Lewis Ridley reports.

Liverpool Acoustic have unveiled their 2019 Spring Season with a series of events at the Philharmonic Music Room, LEAF and 81 Renshaw spanning from January through to May.

The Music Room sees the first visit of Martyn Joseph on Saturday, January 19 and the annual knees up with Merry Hell on Saturday, February 23. In March, folk favourites Pilgrims’ Way followed by Flamenco Fusion with Duo Guitar on Sunday 24.

April features acclaimed folk artist Reg Meuross on Saturday, April 27, while the Music Room finishes with another Light Night collaboration on Friday, May 17 and two shows with The Spinners Legends Friday May 18 and Saturday, May 19.

LEAF is the venue for the Liverpool Acoustic Songwriting Challenge 2018 Showcase Final (January 12) when each of the ten finalists will perform their song with an image of the work of art that inspired it projected onto the big screen for all to see.

81 Renshaw hosts Liverpool Acoustic Live‘s 10th anniversary show on Friday, February 1. Headlining is Raphael Callaghan, local duo Geoghegan Jackson, the Songwriting Challenge winners, and Liverpool Acoustic‘s Derek King and Stuart Todd.

Liverpool Acoustic‘s Graham Holland said: “We’re super excited to announce our 2019 Spring Season with intimate shows at 81 Renshaw and larger shows at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall‘s fabulous Music Room. With folk, singer songwriter, blues, flamenco and highwaymen in the mix the new season has something for everyone!”
