Sarah Darling will play Liverpool on her album tour, Anthony Walker remembrance gig at Baltic Market and Alex Luke releases a new single, Getintothis’ Lewis Ridley with the news.
The ambiguous Manchester three piece WH Lung will come to Liverpool as part of a UK tour in May.
Having been booked for festivals in 2017 despite releasing any music or making any live performances, they have since carried an air of mystery.
Liverpool fans of the band will get their chance to see them at Shipping Forecast on Saturday, May 11.
Another trio, LA outfit Mini Mansions will play District as part of a UK tour in support of their new album, Guy Walks Into A Bar.
The group are made up of Michael Shuman and Zach Dawes, bassists for Queens of the Stone Age and Last Shadow Puppets, and Tyler Parkford, who has been touring with Arctic Monkeys on their latest album, Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino.
Its no surprise, therefore, that this is only their third full length release in 10 years – they’ll bring it to Liverpool on Thursday, May 23.
Country artist Sarah Darling will also pop by in Liverpool as part of her UK tour. She’ll come armed with her fifth studio album, Wonderland.
Originally a contestant in a US reality show, Darling will play Leaf on Sunday, March 17.
The tour sees them make appearances outside of their hometown with dates in Doncaster, Leeds, Manchester and Northwich before they come to Liverpool on Saturday, April 27.
Liverpool musicians will come together next week to hold a celebration of Anthony Walker‘s life on the eve of what would have been his 32nd birthday.
The special show, in aid of the Anthony Walker Foundation, will be held in the Baltic Market on Wednesday, Feburary 20 and include performances from Pete Wylie, Wavertree Gospel Choir, DJ2Kind, Blue Saint and Deja Vu.
Finally in gigs, post punk outfit Saint Ivy will play The Jacaranda in April.
Our new track this week comes from Manchester based artist Alex Luke, a Manchester based artist who has just released Everyday Sunday.
Described as a track about one of those days you just don’t want to leave the house, it takes inspiration from the likes of Ady Sulieman. You can listen to the track below.
