Liverpool Sound City have revealed their lineup for a special day in St Helens to celebrate 150 of the borough, Getintothis’ Aimee Puleston reports.

Sound City has partnered with the art organisation Heart of Glass to bring a family fun day of entertainment, music, food, and arts to the picturesque Inglenook Farm.

On Sunday, September 16, the free event will be celebrating the 150th anniversary of the development of the borough of St Helens. Sound City On The Farm will highlight the artistic, creative and musical talent from across the North West with the particular focus on talent from St Helens and its neighbouring areas.

The event will start at midday and run until 7.30pm, with live music performances from emerging musical talents from around the region, such as Sly Digs (Warrington), Scarlet (St Helens), Katie Mac (Knowsley), Rival Bones (St Helens), The Racket (Widnes), Tracky (Ormskirk) and Mamatung (Liverpool) all taking to the stage at the event.

Deep Cuts #20 featuring Jetta, Marmalade, Shards, Adrianne Lenker and more – best new tracks

Along with the music performances, you can join in with life drawing, poetry and also interactive participation acts too, all of these are delivered by The Unusual Art Sourcing Company.

There will be festival style stalls, selling local food and drink, local artwork and face painting on what is set to be a fantastic family day.
