Jingle all the way

Long-been known as a genius among respected industry figures, Ben Mawdsley’s prodigious talent was confirmed by that geezer Russell Brand on his Radio Two show recently…

Some have declared him a legend in his own lifetime. West Lancashire bedroom music wizard, Ben Mawdsley finally let the wider world hear a slice of his latent genius recently when comic and all-round naughty man, Russell Brand played his jingle on Radio 2.
Influenced by the likes of Suede, The Monochrome Set and Harry Hill’s TV Burp, Mawdsley‎ has been preparing his self-produced debut for almost 11 and a half years, and with the likes of Antony Hegarty, David Bowie and Dave Rowntree all set to feature, it promises to be one special event.
A spokesman close to the enigmatic Mawdsley, said last night: “Benjamin rarely lets the public hear his work, but he thought he would satisfy the increasing demand displayed by his loyal followers – especially given the wait since parting from his former band, Violence of Indigo.
“We just hope they remain patient and trust Benjamin’s muse to deliver.’
