One man, three very different guises. Meet Liverpool’s new man with multiple monikers.

Emerging from a post-Sound City coma we find WYWH the ideal remedy.
WYWH, aka Liverpool-based Andrew Parry, deploys languid rhythms woven into arresting melodies and muted vocal harmonics it’s the kind of dream-state music to match our medicated mind and busted up body.
Fresh out the blocks Reinhardt is wise-cracking street corner beat replete with funky loops and rain-drop percussive repetition. Imagine Burial reimagining A Tribe Called Quest and you’re not too far away. Then there’s the fractured wet dream RnB of Sexual Anne.

The flipside to WYWH is Parry’s snarlier full blown Where We’re West outfit; a loose fuzzy beast which trades glam stomps with a stateside slacker approach.
The quartet feature on a bill featuring Broken Men, Clang Boom Steam and Owls* at Milk on May 17.

And just when you thought things were busy enough for Parry, he’s dropped a series of stark minimal demo recordings on his soundcloud. Very much a work in progress but worthy of investigation, nonetheless, if only for the inner mechanics of a new Liverpool songwriter.
