Matador Records’ alt-rock veterans Yo La Tengo play Harvest Sun showcase in Liverpool.
New Jersey alt-rock trio Yo La Tengo are to play Liverpool on December 4 at East Village Arts Club.
The Matador Records cult legends, steered by husband/wife duo Ira Kaplan and Georgia Hubley and bass player James McNew, visit Liverpool on the back of thirteenth full-length album – and one of several career highs – Fade.
Fade is the most direct, personal and cohesive album of Yo La Tengo‘s expansive recording collection, recalling the sonic innovation of 1997’s I Can Hear the Heart Beating as One and 2000’s …And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside Out, making their Liverpool show another must-see musical moment in 2013.
Here’s their new video for Ohm directed by The Simpsons writer Donick Cary.
Tickets £16, on sale 9am Friday July 5, from Ticketweb & Ticketline.
