Coinciding with their upcoming European tour, Getintothis’ Adam Lowerson has the details of Dignan Porch’s limited cassette release on EDILS Recordings.

London lo-fi five-piece Dignan Porch are set to release a limited edition cassette through Liverpool DIY record label EDILS Recordings. Creme, a seven track EP, is set to be released on April 27 to coincide with the band’s upcoming European tour.

The EP was recorded throughout 2014 and features seven tracks including a cover of Slushy Gut’s Alas and six brand new original tracks. It will be launched at a special event on April 25 at London’s The Windmill, and will be limited to just 150 copies. The special release celebrates the long running partnership between EDILS and Dignan Porch.

Dignan Porch, who are described as making noisy, nostalgic home-fi and as being DIY by nature and necessity, have previously released two studio albums on Brooklyn’s Captured Tracks (Mac DeMarco, Diiv) and their most recent LP Observatory on Brighton’s Faux Discx (Cold Pumas, Hookworms).

The band, who are fronted by brothers Joseph and Sam Walsh, are set to embark on a nine date European tour in May, which will see them perform in countries such as France, Belgium, Germany and Holland. The upcoming releases features drums recorded by the Walsh’s youngest brother Luke, who also features on the artwork for the release. The cover photograph for Creme was inspired by the younger brother, who was said to like ‘covering himself in cream as a child’.

EDILS, who work predominantly as independent booking agents, have a busy 2015 in store, with several other special releases for their roster of bands in the pipeline for later in the year.
