Freeze at The Bombed Out Church

With a huge line-up released today Getintothis’ Ste Knight looks forward to Freeze and mUmU’s collaborative venture, 48 Hours in Liverpool.

Back in early June Freeze and mUmU held a colossal party at the New Bird Street Warehouse which saw first lady of techno Nina Kraviz blow the dance floor apart. The event was a precursor to the upcoming August Bank Holiday show brought by the underground partnership.

Taking place over Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 August, the house and techno acts will be performing at two of Liverpool’s best loved venues. The iconic Bombed Out Church will be the daytime location, while the evening is to be held at the New Bird Street Warehouse.

Now we’ve set the exciting stage, prepare yourselves for the gargantuan line up.

Part One sees Paco Osuna, Gregor Thresher, Gary Beck, Theo Kottis, Lee Rands and Jemmy (now breathe…) taking to the decks sprawled over the two venues, a roster ridiculously packed with big names and that’s only day one. There’s a special guest still to be confirmed so keep your eyes peeled on Getintothis for further announcements.

Part two offers Tale of Us, Black Coffee, Mind Against, Nastia, Rossko, with Lee Rands and Jemmy popping up once again. Bragging some of the biggest names on the scene, Freeze and mUmU have really pulled the rabbit out of the hat with this insane programming.

One word…oooomph! This is a storming event organised by the two underground faculties and is most certainly not one to be missed so get involved with our competition below and you can win one of two pairs of tickets for this weekend of solid sonic debauchery.

To win a pair of passes for each day, all you need to do is tell us the name of the record shop on Slater Street owned by Liverpool DJ Jemmy. Share our post on Facebook and leave the answer in the comments section, and the winners will be announced prior to the event.
