Unknown Mortal Orchestra

GetintothisDavid Hall has all the details on the eclectic psych-rock outfit’s upcoming Liverpool date.

With a Coachella slot ahead of them and sold out tours through the US and New Zealand under their belts, Unknown Mortal Orchestra will turn their attention UK-wards for a short tour in the summer.

Originally from New Zealand by way of Portland, Oregon, fans of the psychedelic, danceable guitar pop of Tame Impala will find plenty to love in Unknown Mortal Orchestra‘s soulful, RnB-inflected jams.

They play Arts Club on Wednesday June 22, which sees the band’s first visit to the city since incredible showings at Sound City 2013 and Sound City 2015. The date is part of an extremely limited run of just two headline shows in the UK on top of a handful of festival dates including Glastonbury and Green Man.

Unknown Mortal Orchestra provided many highlights in 2015

This may well be the last chance for fans to catch tracks played from the third Unknown Mortal Orchestra album, 2015’s well-received Multi-Love.

UPDATE: UMO have shared a new song called First World Problem – the first new original song to be shared by UMO since the release of the critically acclaimed Multi-Love, listen to it below.
