Teleman

Teleman bringing their smooth indie pop synths to Leaf in October, Getintothis’ Nathan Scally has the details.

Teleman rose from the ashes of former band Pete and the Pirates in 2012 Brothers Thomas and Johnny Sanders, along with bassist Paul Cattermoul, added drummer Hiro Amamiya and adopted a smoother style which focusses much more on melodies than a simple punk thrash.

Can’t wait till October? Our extensive Summer gig guide is here!

Their debut album Breakfast, produced by Bernard Butler, was released in mid-2014, featuring tracks such as 23 Floors Up’ and debut single Christina and now with a new album, Brilliant Sanity on the Moshi Moshi label just released,Teleman’s Django Django and Tame Impala inflections are sure to meet a receptive audience in a live setting.

Their experience of supporting the likes of Suede, Maximo Park, Kasier Chiefs and Metromony is sure to stand them in good stead and indeed this October and November they will be playing an extensive UK headline tour under their own steam.

Teleman play Leaf on Bold Street on October 22.
