Positive Vibrations has added more big names for 2018’s Baltic Triangle bash and Getintothis’ Nathan Scally has the line up.

Positive Vibrations, Liverpool’s award-winning celebration of reggae and Jamaican heritage returns to the Baltic Triangle to showcase the best of what the scene has to offer this June.

With names such as Macka B & The Roots Ragga Band, Adrian Sherwood and Creation RebelDon Letts and Misty in Roots already announced, the star-studded bill is already salivating the mouths of fans everywhere.

Joining them this year will be Mungo’s Hi Fi with Eva LazarusDub Pistols, BrukOut featuring Seani B & Stone LoveDreadzoneTru Thoughts Records with Rodney P, DJ Skitz and WrongtomResonators and Sinai Sound-System.

This gem on the festival calendar has made a big impression since its inception in 2016, already scooping best new festival at the UK Festival Awards, and attracted internationally renowned bands, legendary sound systems and selectors, and some of the brightest new talent.

As well as the stellar lineup, you can also expand your knowledge of the genre at the Reggae Q&A panel discussion with Dr William ‘Lez’ Henry and John RobbAnd you can’t forget about the Art of Reggae exhibition, showcasing 100 reggae-inspired posters, designed by illustrators & artists from over 70 countries.

Over the festival weekend, there will be a plethora of activities & workshops for all the family, including dub poetry classes with Levi Tafari, Jamaican dance classes with Merseyside Dance Initiative, arts & crafts with Square Pegs, screen-printing with The Paper Moon, Capoeira & drum classes with Capoeira For All, face painting, a soft play area, plus loads more. Children & young people are welcome to the festival on both days, with those under 12 years old being granted free entry.

In addition, there’ll be over 40 open-air traders offering a diverse selection of food, drink, records, clothes, arts & crafts, jewellery, health and well-being at the Jamtown Market.

Weekend tickets are available for just £30, and you can get an early slice of the festivities at the free exhibition launch June 6 at Constellations from 7-11pm.
