King Hannah - Deep Cuts at ONE

King Hannah

King Hannah report from Portugal and tell us about jesters hats, chocolate Cornettos and favourite bands

King Hannah are something of an enigma.

A fairly new band, it is difficult to track them down to see what they are all about. Their social profile is low, gigs are few and far between. Finding their music online ends in frustration.

But persistence is recommended, because King Hannah are special. Often described as being ‘built around’ lead singer Hannah Merrick, King Hannah create a beautiful, haunting blues with Merrick’s vocals taking centre stage and driving the songs emotional current.

Live, King Hannah create their own mood, their own world, one that draws the listener in and captivates. It sounds a journalistic cliché to say that here is one to watch, bit in this case it is most definitely true.

And if all this sounds intriguing, you can catch King Hannah playing the Getintothis stage at Sound City, at Hangar34 on May 5, alongside Pale Rider and Bieja Flo.

We caught up with Hannah to try to find out more about them in our latest 13 Questions feature. So what is going on with King Hannah?
