Oddity Road’s tour will stop off at Arts Club, food comes to new Jacaranda venue and a new track from unsigned Liverpool trio Digital Garden Party, Getintothis’ Lewis Ridley tucks into this weeks news.

Sparkling multi instrumentalist Skinny Pelembe will play Shipping Forecast later this year.

Born in Johannesburg but growing up in Doncaster, his hazy afro-tipped soul muses with psychedelia.

He has recently released new single I’ll Be On Your Mind, a spoken word, beat-laden track as well as the two track EP Spit/Swallow.

Pelembe comes to Liverpool as part of a UK tour on Wednesday, October 3.

Melodic Distraction

Baltic Triangle radio station Melodic Distraction Radio are starting a crowdfunding campaign in their bid to go 24/7.

The online radio based in Liverpool’s creative nucleus will be offering rewards to a community of supporters who pledge to the project.

Birmingham’s Go-Kart Mozart are coming to Liverpool courtesy of Harvest Sun Promotions.

It was formed by Lawrence, formerly of the bands Felt and Denim, releasing their first album in 1999. They come to Buyers Club on Thursday, October 18.
