Foals announce the release date for their next album and Getintothis’ Nathan Scally has all the info hot off the presses.
Foals‘ highly anticipated Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost Part 2 is on its way.
No longer are we waiting for ‘autumn 2019’ as the date has now been set and we have something to countdown to.
October 18 is the date firmly circled on the calendar.
We’ve been treated to a taster in Black Bull, the ferocious first single off the upcoming record, first heard as Annie Mac‘s Hottest Record in the World.
Now all we can do is wait and hope for some more appetisers from the band, who claim Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost Part 2 is all about trying to finish the work of its predecessor. As follow ups go it’s rare we get to experience something so soon and so deliberate.
After a busy summer on the festival circuit, the Oxford four-piece continue their quest for world domination with shows reaching as far as Japan, Thailand and Russia.
With the experiment continuing, they’ll have to navigate the set list minefield – how do you tour two albums at one time? We’ll be watching closely to find out.
Available to pre-order now on CD, digital and vinyl formats, the Foals faithful have a buffet of choice, including special edition picture discs for the Collectors Edition Box.
“It’s a rock record and it definitely carries on the narrative from part one. Part one ended with a lot of fire and destructive imagery, part two is trying to respond to that: how you can continue in the wreckage and through the scorched earth?” Yannis has set the bar and the band are going to be reaching again.
The band have vowed to take us on a journey, and fans will be waiting patiently to get going. But for now, Black Bull and the track list are all we have to whet our appetites.
