Bo Ningen announce UK tour and release of new album Sudden Fictions

Acid punk noise makers Bo NIngen return with a new label, single and album, Getintothis’ Banjo tells us more as they announce a UK tour.

London-based Japanese rock band Bo Ningen have signed to Alcopop! Records and will release new album, Sudden Fictions, in Spring 2020.

Ahead of this, their fourth album, the band released new single B.C. on March 13 as clear vinyl 7”, limited to only 500 copies.

Alcopop! Label boss Jack Clothier said “As if we’ve signed Bo Ningen!? One of the best live acts we’ve ever seen, and the music coming up is just unreal…we’re absolutely delighted to be welcoming them to the label. What a band.”

Bo Ningen guitarist Kohhei Matsuda’s comments were somewhat more cryptic: “After years of countless bifurcation into sub-genres, music has been cut down to flakes. Music is suffocated. This album is a challenge to bridge between now and the time before the first bifurcation. To alternate the future.”

Bo Ningen are best known for their intense live experiences with previous shows having been described by Getintothis’ as “astral, completely not of this planet. Utterly eviscerating” and leaving “wide-eyed kids standing bewildered.”

We think you get the picture.

The band already have three studio albums to their credit, 2010’s self titled debut, 2012’s Stolen Recordings and 2014’s III, making Sudden Fictions their first new album in six years.
