Back for album two, Dream Wife have announced their latest record, lead single and so much more, and Getintothis’ Nathan Scally has the details.
One of the most exciting punk rock outfits in the land, Dream Wife, have shared some details from their upcoming projects, including an album, tour and podcast series.
After 2018’s explosive debut, the next chapter in the Dream Wife story asks the all important question, So When You Gonna… set to arrive July 3 via Lucky Number. And you’ll be able to get a taster yourself as early as May 1 at the 2020 edition of Soundcity.
Well known for their riotous riffs and guzzling guitars, the London-based trio are also leading advocates for fixing the gender gap in the music industry. And they’ve been putting their money where their mouth is by working with an entirely non-male production team.
By working with producer and mixer Marta Salogni, engineer Grace Banks and mastering engineer Heba Kadry, they’re taking immediate action to help the industry get where it needs to be – a central theme to their album’s mission.
Talking of action, lead single Sports is a raucous, zesty anthem leaving our mouth’s watering for what their next studio effort. With such ferocity and vigor in every beat, it wouldn’t go amiss in the locker room before a team takes to the pitch.
Dream Wife’s feminist fight will soon be available in stints longer than three and a bit minutes with the soon to be launched podcast series, also titled So When You Gonna…
Each episode is a one-on-one interview with a different creative about how exactly they managed to hone their craft, for example So When You Gonna… Get Into Production.
So, when you gonna catch Dream Wife? They’re ready and waiting to get their summer started with numerous live dates, including Liverpool Sound City on May 1.
