Black Futures have released details of the part they are playing in raising money for a local venue and the National Health Service, as well as their new tour dates, Getintothis’ Steven Doherty has all this.

Sonic noise-makers extraordinaire Black Futures have announced the updated details of their upcoming headline May tour, which has had to be rescheduled due to the ongoing global pandemic, and will now take place this September instead.

The long-awaited run of dates, which the band are self-titling as their “Post-Pandemic Apocalypse Prevention Party”, will now include new dates in Oxford and Leicester, however, they will no longer be playing in Bristol, as this could not be suitably re-arranged.
They have also released details of fundraising efforts to help both the NHS and their local venue, the Guildford Boileroom, by donating proceeds from new items of merchandise.
£10 from each of their newly-designed lino print will go to the NHS, and £5 from their new Art Ritual t-shirt will go to the venue, and they are both available now from blackfutures.com.

Of having to make the schedule changes, Black Futures said, “Greetings from our isolation station. We hope you are all coping with quarantine in your own special way. As you may have guessed, we regretfully have to postpone our tour due to the pandemic we are living through. Keep each other safe and sane.

We miss you all! Stay hydrated, eat more greens, support your local music venue and most importantly MAKE WEIRD & LIVE FREE.”

These dates represent the biggest headline tour to date since the release of their critically acclaimed, absolute blast of a debut album Never Not Nothing, which came out late last year, and if the new tour is anything like last year’s mind-blowing summer festival set, then these tickets will not be around for very long.
The new dates are:
September 9: Manchester YES
September 10: Glasgow Garage
September 11: Newcastle Think Tank
September 12: Oxford Jericho
September 16: Birmingham Sunflower Lounge
September 17: Leicester Cookie
September 18: London Camden Assembly
