Another week of special guests ahead as try to keep you musically sane in these times of no fun, Getintothis’ Steven Doherty has news of this week’s broadcasts.

Getintothis Live, our new three-times weekly chat show is once again chocka of special guests this week.

As ever keeping control is our host, Roy Bayfield, who will be discussing the latest news and features at 8pm tonight (Saturday), Monday and Wednesday.

Tonight sees Roy joined by Liverpool-based poet Mary Olive and Birkenhead based Sam Warren from the band STORES and independent record label Eggy Records– home to the likes of Eyesore and the Jinx and Beija Flo.

We’ve also got Getintothis contributor Naomi Campbell who also co-fronts fast-rising alt-country band Motel Sundown.

Joining them is Liverpool’s beloved local treasure Pete Bentham, best known for fronting the marvellous Pete Bentham & The Dinner Ladies and promoter of the monthly Free Rock & Roll Nights at Sound.

Getintothis editor Peter Guy will be in attendance also wrapping up a fine night of new music and culture discussion when the show starts at 8pm over on the Getintothis Facebook page.

On Monday May 4, musician Roxanne De Bastion, who has just announced a ‘national acoustic tour’ (without leaving her house).

Presenter of IWFM Pop Kitchen and social justice director for the Diocese of Liverpool Ellen Loudon, poet Louise Evans and producer Joe Wills are the guests.


While on our last show of the week on Wednesday, we are joined by Ormskirk’s finest Mike Poynton, better known as the one-man operation TRACKY, landlady of the in-the-news Caledonia pub Laura King and Jenny Higham.

Alongside them is Goldblade and Membranes frontman, author, and Editor of Louder Than War, the one and only John Robb, in what is sure to be a frank evening of discussions.
