Laurel Canyon revivalist heads to the Kazimier in support of his star-studded second album.
It’s easy the lay on the hype.
How many artists waltz through public’s rotating doors labelled with the terms “prodigious” and “multi-talented” and fail to live up to such expectant billing?
It’s just as well that Jonathan Wilson can and does live up to such weighty promise. His 2013 LP Fanfare is a smooth, sweet and intoxicating affair that boasts a vast array of special guests that includes Graham Nash, David Crosby, Wilco’s Patrick Sansone and Roy Harper.
Inevitably, the results are glorious; airy psych collides with haunting piano and ethereal vocals.
Wilson’s Fanfare parade will be rolling on towards the Kazimier on Friday November 29, courtesy of Harvest Sun.
Prepare yourselves for a fantastic night in the mesmeric musicianship of one of the USA’s single most unique talents.
