Ella Eyre set to kick start LIMF 2014 at MTV Brand New Camp & Furnace show


Liverpool International Musical Festival hooks up with MTV to present some of the UK’s brightest and upcoming British female talent, Getintothis‘ Steph Niciu takes a look ahead.

LIMF and MTV Brand New host BRIT nominee Ella Eyre, Clean Bandit singer Jess Glynne and chart-topping pop star Becky Hill at the Camp and Furnace on Wednesday August 13.

Eyre made her mark by providing the vocals for Rudimental’s chart topping smash Waiting All Night before branching out with her EP Deeper and debut single If I Go. With her sassy onstage presence and gravely tone, she is one to watch ahead of her debut album in the autumn.

Jess Glynne rose to the fame as the vocalist on Clean Bandit’s Rather Be. Her vocal being a distinguished mix of soul and hip hop, but she is pop enough to appeal to a wider audience.  Having previously worked with Bless Beats and MNEK, she has now launched herself as a solo artist with the help of her track Right Here.

Becky Hill found success when she was semi-finalist on Series 1 of The Voice UK.  Mentored by coach Jessie J, she was noted for her renditions of Ordinary People, Irreplaceable and David Guetta’s She Wolf.  Since then, Hill has continued on her quest for chart dominance by touring with Rudimental and co-writing a song entitled Powerless taken from their No. 1 album Home.

The event will be broadcast on all flagship UK music channels, including MTV LIVE HD and MTV MUSIC.
