With the holidays now over, 2017’s gigs can get underway as Getintothis’ Craig MacDonald looks to the week ahead.

The decorations are down, the crackers pulled and the diets started. Yes, the beginning of the year brings with it a fresh calendar of gigs.

With new venues and new acts for all of us to enjoy and explore, there is no time like the present to get your senses around some of the best gigs heading your way, as our first guide of the year proves.

Psyblings: Maguires Pizza Bar, January 13

Warrington’s vicious quartet Psyblings will be primed to hit Maguires with everything they have, as they head to town in mid January.

They are able to control chaos like few others and this will be a gem for those who head down to see them in their prime.



Bathyfest 2017: Buyers Club, January 14

Before they go on a hiatus, Bathymetry headline the latest instalment of Bathyfest, which boasts a solid lineup for the Hardman Street bash.

Joining the hosts will be The Floormen, Shrinking Minds, Prowles, Disastronuats and FlightWorks in a night only the strongest will survive.
