A Carefully Planned Festival – Manchester’s DIY showcase festival to finish in style this October

Manchester’s A Carefully Planned Festival is calling it a day, but not before they go out with a bang this October and Getintothis’ Rick Leach has all the details.

Manchester’s A Carefully Planned Festival is coming to an end.

From humble beginnings in 2011, the festival established itself as an eclectic celebration of alternative music and DIY culture, and an important  date in the Manchester music calendar for enthusiasts of independent music and good times.

Having featured such acts as Peaness, Joanna Gruesome, Queen Zee and the Sasstones and Her’s in 2016, the festival proved they were at the cutting edge for new, exciting and emerging talent from the North West and further afield.

To mark the end and going out with a bit of a bang, the last ever A Carefully Planned Festival will take place under the banner of ‘A Carefully Planned Farewell’ on Saturday October 21.

This will be an all-day event featuring 39 acts over four stages in the Northern Quarter at Gullivers NQ, Aatma and The Castle Hotel. Tickets are on sale now for just a tenner.

Acts include Famous Hell, Grotbags, Mi Mye, Hot Shorts, Hazel Iris, Winter Sports, USA Nails, Brunch, Kieron Leonard, Kits, James Holt and many more.
