As Off The Record returns to various venues across Manchester’s Northern Quarter, Getintothis’ Lucy McLachlan has the details on how you can win a pair of tickets.
Following two sell out years, Off The Record returns to Manchester’s Northern Quarter with its new music festival and conference.
Launched by the good people behind Sound City, Kendal Calling and Bluedot it showcases some of the best new music in the UK and is boasting it’s biggest selection of artists, curators and conference line up to date.
Featuring London’s Stereo Honey, underground grime collective MDP, and garage rock from Avalanche Party for the live music side with Suede’s Bernard Butler, Everything Everything and a songwriting masterclass from Doves announced as guest speakers during the conference.
Curators this year include Ana Matronic, Huw Stephens and The Orielles who take part in choosing all the acts for the festival.
Spread over the entire Northern Quarter, performance venues for Off The Record include Jimmy’s, The Peer Hat, Soup Kitchen, Gullivers, Night & Day, The Castle Hotel, Aatma and Band On The Wall.

Thursday 15th November: 7pm-late – Networking drinks at Band on the Wall
Friday 16th November: 9.30am-6pm – Conference at Methodist Central Hall
Registration from 9.30am, 5pm–6pm – Networking drinks at Band on the Wall
6pm-late – Music Showcase at Jimmy’s, Band on the Wall, The Peer Hat, Soup Kitchen, Gullivers, Aatma, Night & Day, The Castle Hotel
