Josefin Öhrn + The Liberation reveal UK tour stopping off in Liverpool, Getintothis’ Luke Hall readies himself for a fresh wave of mind-altering psychedelia.
Rocket Recordings favourites Josefin Öhrn + The Liberation return to Liverpool next May as part of their first UK tour in two years.
Stopping off at Jacaranda Records Phase One on May 1, the Swedish group bring with it their compelling hybrid of trance and psychedelia – an encompassing soundscape within which to both zone out and get your groove on.
Having been turning heads since their 2015 debut EP Diamond Waves, the band take cues from the likes of The Velvet Underground, Mazzy Star, Suicide and Cheval Fou.
The band’s latest release, Mirage, combines krautrock and shoegaze – a strong package that took home a Getintothis Album of the Year selection in 2017 (listen to tracks Rainbow Lollipop and The State (I’m In) for starters).
Returning to the Mersey off the back of a Sheffield date with Ride earlier in the summer, the group is scheduled to appear alongside the likes of Metronomy, Goat Girl and White Denim at Leicester’s Hand Made Festival 2019 and Brighton’s Mutations Festival 2019 during the tour.
The very best of Mogwai – we look back at their career and offer up the top 10 tracks
Having ticked the Liverpool box twice at Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia 2016 and an intimate set at Central Library at the opening of 2017, the group’s third Mersey offering is bound to offer the same level of unbounded sonic exploration that won our hearts over in the first place. Don’t skip out.
