Grime sensation Dave is set to go on tour, with dates up and down the country including a stop off in Liverpool. Getintothis’ Amos Wynn has all the news.

20-year-old Dave has a big few months ahead of him. As well as heading on a UK tour; he is also preparing to release his debut album, Psychodrama, on the 8th March.

That album will include his latest hard hitting single, Black, which continues in the same vein as Question Time and Hangman, providing thought-provoking lyrics, once again demonstrating his talent.

Fans will have the opportunity to hear this new track as he embarks on his tour, starting in Dublin and finishing with two hometown gigs at O2 Academy Brixton.

Between that he travels up and down the UK, with shows in Glasgow, Manchester, Sheffield and Bournemouth.  That includes a trip to Liverpool’s O2 Academy on Wednesday 17th April.

Despite Psychodrama being Dave’s first album, fans will be well acquainted with his strong body of work released to date, with a number of EP’s and singles helping to build his following.

His two EP’s Six Paths and Game Over were both well received and have earned him much recognition.

Nominated for a Best Newcomer award at last year’s BRITs, Dave‘s songs make references to a huge range of subjects, including Jose Mourinho, Manuel Neuer, Grand Theft Auto and even JK Rowling.

But it is his slow-paced and more meaningful tracks that grab the attention and make him an incredible artist.  One of Dave’s most recent singles, Funky Friday, became his first number one single as a lead artist.  With everything falling into place for Dave, his UK your tour is not to be missed.
