Paul Weller announces new album, UK tour and Olympia rescheduled gig

The self-styled Modfather has released details of his forthcoming new album and a fresh run of Autumn 2020 dates, Getintothis’ Steven Doherty has the details.

Paul Weller has announced another chunk of live dates in October and November this year, as well as a release date for his new record.

Having already announced a May tour, which has already sold out, he is to play another 19 dates across UK and Ireland, taking in some of the places he missed from the earlier run.

These dates will see him play material from On Sunset, his first album release for his new label Polydor, which will see the light of day on June 12.

The studio follow up to 2018’s True Meanings, this will be Weller’s fifteenth solo album, and is his first release since his live career anthology Other Aspects: Live At The Royal Festival Hall which features Jam and Style Council classics alongside his own.

Weller will also be making an special appearance playing a short acoustic set at the Stereophonics’ Teenage Cancer Trust gig at London’s Royal Albert Hall on March 25.
