Birmingham’s Supersonic Festival reveals 2020 line up, Getintothis‘ Peter Guy is suitably enamoured.

Supersonic Festival have revealed their first wave of artists for the 2020 edition including A.A.Williams, Algiers, Blanck Mass and Richard Dawson.

The festival, which is based in Birmingham and renowned for its progressive and boundary-straddling ambition, also includes for the 2020 edition Swedish black noise collective Bada – led by Anna Von Hausswolff, Curl (a project including Mica Levi, Coby Sey and Brother May), Harrga, Ka Baird and visionary producer Klein.

Moving to a new home in Digbeth, the festival which is on July 17-19, also welcomes Lankum, Oozing Wound, Orchestra of Constant Distress (an assemblage of members of The Skull Defekts, Brainbombs and No Balls), Danish sound artist Puce Mary and São Paulo artist Rakta.

Getintothis‘ label of 2019, Rocket Recordings will present a special showcase.

Heading up the showcase are GNOD teaming up with João Pais Filipe on what is known as FACĄ DE FOGO with the likes of J.Zunz, Petbrick, Sex Swing and an as yet unannounced very special guest to be revealed.
